W Fun Fold Card

Welcome to my blog!  I am so happy you are here!  I have a love for all things paper-crafting but spend a lot of time making cards.  My son calls it an addiction...  My daughter is ever so happy because she never has to pay for greeting cards lol!  I have five grandchildren who enjoy receiving cards (even more so when there is a happy tucked inside).  My husband just rolls his eyes...

We live in the country in North Mississippi.  There are cows and chickens outside.  We have fresh eggs daily.  There are also two ponds and frequently we have fish.

I recently recovered from a difficult bout with Covid 19 but am still struggling with some after-effects.  I did get my vaccine recently (Yay!!!) so we can begin to plan to travel again.  We love to cruise and can't wait for cruises to start back up.

My plans are to share what I am currently working on.  Today I have made a W Fun Fold card for an upcoming swap.  These cards are very simple to make!

I started with Core'dinations Great White card stock to make my card base, trimming a panel to 4 1/4 inches x 11 inches and scoring lengthwise at 5 1/2 inch to have a card that would open to the right.  I trimmed a panel of green checked paper to 4 x 5 1/4 inches for a mat for the front of my card and a second panel 3 3/4 x 5 inches also for the front using Happy Spring paper collection from Recollections.  I stamped my sentiment (from Dragonfly Garden stamp set by Stampin' Up) on the lower right corner of the top panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I fussy cut flowers from the Happy Spring collection and adhered them with Art Glitter Glue.  I added some dragonflies using the new Dragonflies Punch from Stampin' Up and adhered some sequins for bling.

The inside of the card is really easy to create.  Cut a strip of card stock 1 1/2 x 11 inches.  Score at 2 5/8, 5 1/2,  and 7 5/8 inches and fold as a W.  Adhere the first scored section and the last scored section to the inside front and back of the card.  Create 4 panels 2 x 2 1/2 inches to place on each section of the W.  I double matted mine with the Reflections paper collection  and applied more dragonflies.  Card was finished easy peasy!

Happy crafting!!! ~ Gracie
